This Love Load

I have a friend, whom I love
But that seems to be, not enough
My affections rain on a one way lane
But I couldn’t let it go, this love load.

Arms always open, waiting on us
His affections rain, wash away my pain

Suddenly there I saw
A mirror I’d ignored
An isosceles love triangle
Playing to a discordant jingle.

Neither of us was content
With whom we had been sent
This phenomena thus responds
To love’s bittersweet symphony wand.
